Zagori has a wealth of
dry stone works and buildings.
Although this heritage is endangered
by modern techniques and mainly
the use of cement, as well as due to
non-existence of any protective legislation,
a large number of specimens of this technique
have been rescued.

Dry stone works are mostly cobbled streets (kalderimia) inside the Zagori villages or in old routes connecting the villages, in bridges, threshing floors, small farm huts, walls or even in older houses.
